On May 29, 2022, the events took place in Klein Nordende German Senior IS Combined Championships instead of. We also went to this tournament Martin Lutz and Katarzyna Rybinska. The two had mixed feelings and certainly some excitement before this tournament. They knew in advance that it would be a very strong field, as in addition to the two former world champion pairs, two former German champion pairs also competed. A total of 12 couples danced for a place in the final and podium places in what is probably the most important tournament in this class.
Combination means that in addition to the Latin American dances (Samba, Chacha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive) the standard dances (Slow Waltz, Tango, Slowfox, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep) are also shown. Each dance is judged individually. The overall ranking is then determined from the individual rankings.
After the first dances it was clear that the dancing couples had trained diligently. But despite strong competition, salvation comes: Martin and Katarzyna are in Final of the German Championship! There you gave it your all again and danced your way to 6th place.
