17th Saxon Seni­or Weekend

The orga­ni­zing club TC Rot-Gold Meis­sen eV invi­ted peo­p­le to the 17th Saxon Seni­ors Weekend on March 1st/2nd, 2025. A total of 54 tour­na­ments with dancers from all over Ger­ma­ny, Aus­tria and espe­ci­al­ly the Czech Repu­blic took place on 3 are­as simultaneously. 

The 1st TSC Frank­furt (Oder) arri­ved with a full band. 6 mas­ter cou­ples star­ted this weekend – more than ever befo­re at a tournament! 

The most suc­cessful were Tho­ralf and Anja Böli­cke, who com­pe­ted in the Stan­dard on Satur­day and won the Mas­ters II D were able to win cle­ar­ly and 18 cou­ples left behind. Also with the Mas­ters III D they were at the top of the podi­um (1st/17)But her real focus is on Latin, what she achie­ved by win­ning the Mas­ters III D (1st/18 and vic­to­ry in all 3 dances) impres­si­ve­ly demons­tra­ted. As tour­na­ment win­ners, they were allo­wed to dance in the hig­her Mas­ters III C and also won this class (1st/8) – and coll­ec­ted enough points to move up to the C class. A gre­at suc­cess! And also on Sun­day they were able to get their new start­ing class Mas­ters III C Latin and thus the Win 5 of 6 tour­na­ments on the weekend. 

Ste­fan Scholz and Danie­la Rische achie­ved their first pla­cing on Sun­day in the Mas­ters III B Stan­dard and finis­hed the tour­na­ment as third-pla­ced team. 

Also Georg Win­zer and Anke Schnei­der danced in the Mas­ters II B Latin to the bron­ze medal. Also in Stan­dard the two were suc­cessful. So they danced their way into the final of the Mas­ters II C and took the 4th place out of 20 pairs.

The cou­ples of the 1st TSC were chee­red on by Dirk and Ramo­na Vogel, who were not at the start this time, but with a stand of their shop “5 Step – Tanz­schuh & mehr” were the­re. During a love­ly meal in the Meiss­ner Dom­kel­ler, the cou­ples cele­bra­ted their dance suc­ces­ses and life…
