From the 15th-17th December 2023 found ours this year Winter camp in the Lindow sports and education center instead of. The total 50 participants expected a balanced range of training courses, from classic ones Standard and Latin, through to Discofox, Salsa and Bachata workshops. The club spared no effort to bring the best trainers to Lindow, despite absences due to illness, in order to meet as many levels and requirements as possible.

The participants who registered on Saturday for the… “Standard program” decided to enjoy a training session Udo Rosanski, who, with a lot of humor and an incredibly strong presence, taught the dancing couples the correct dance posture and technique for the slow waltz, Viennese waltz, slow fox and tango. The “Latin part” Our trainer took over, with quality we know well Martin Lutz. Martin is himself an active dancer in the highest performance classes in standard and Latin, judge and trainer. At our club he trains the competitive sports couples. He taught the participants Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive and Paso Doble with ambition and humor. Marco and Lisa Kühne showed the participants sophisticated Discofox figures and brought the soulful Discofox Slow closer. At Achim and Diana from the La Pasión salsa school from Fürstenwalde, the participants worked up a sweat with hot salsa and kizomba rhythms. The highlight was the Salsa Rueda workshop. Unlike other couple dances, here the dance partner changes while dancing. There were lots of laughs. The vice world champion in Discofox, who traveled from Hamburg, Jacob Schuening, also showed what figures are possible in Discofox and also taught Bachata. Ours helped here Trainer Daniela Rische and showed the demanding Bachata sequence with Jacob.

The weekend not only consisted of intensive training and workshops, but also… social aspect was also not neglected. On Friday evening we met in a relaxed atmosphere Athlete bar for Secret Santa. Jens Mausolf Thanks to his excellent moderation, he kept the audience in a good mood with humorous punch lines. Our The lottery tickets were Claudia Lemke and her daughter Aylia. Elfi Almert had designed the lots for us in advance. Between the rounds of elves there was a lot of dancing.

With Mulled wine around the campfire and Christmas carols, the Peter Staudt-Fischbach with the guitar and Sabine Fischbach singing accompanied, Saturday evening came to an end. We had us so that everyone could sing along with confidence in the lyrics Heike Mausolf great songbooks designed.

Physical well-being was not neglected. The Lindow sports and leisure center treated us to one ample selection of different dishes, so that we were able to strengthen ourselves sufficiently before, between and after the training sessions.

A big thank you goes to our organizers Katrin and Maik Jahn and Marco Kühne.

We are already looking forward to the winter camp next year.

“What I learned from the winter camp in Lindow was that standard and Latin dances depend on the correct dance posture and technique. The trainers’ tips were helpful and concise.” – Holger Wagenblast

“A positive mood among all participants was noticeable throughout the weekend. It was the best prerequisite for successful training as well as for our highlights – Secret Santa and Christmas singing around the campfire.” – Katrin and Maik Jahn
